![]() ![]() I managed to source an original scan converter unit and have it professionally fitted. Mine was sold as working but had a brutal flicker on any interlaced signal type, fine on progressive but that's not much good for systems that can't do it. An extremely competent TV with phenomenal picture quality but problematic getting one in fully working order. Mine is the Toshiba 36ZP38B, a very late model with 100hz Active panel, 2x RGB SCART, component and S-Video. If you're using RGB (protip, you need to be wherever possible) then NTSC won't matter.Īs for particular stand out models I can only speak for the model I have and give you my experience with it. That's a personal choice, there's no doubting their superior picture but I couldn't live with the size.Īfter that, as has been said 60hz support is extremely common, NTSC support in my experience was far more common in the EDTV era (late generation CRTs from the very late 90s and early 2000s). If you want anything above portable size without getting extremely lucky (and a mortgage) then a PVM/BVM is out. IMO you need to make a choice at the outset about whether you need a large display. ![]()
